The Small Business Development Center, BSC Department of Hospitality and Tourism, and the Continuing Professional Studies Office at Buffalo State are committed to assisting local restaurants to recover and reopen as the COVID-19 crisis eases.
To that end, the following program will be available starting this June:
Recovery and Re-opening your Restaurant during COVID-19
Recovery and Re-opening your Restaurant during COVID-19 is a comprehensive educational program designed to aid restaurant owners/operators who need knowledge and training to adapt to changes due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic. Expert presenters will engage participants remotely in a series of 4 interactive trainings designed to help you become successful and profitable. Information on topics related to sanitation and safety policies and procedures, online capabilities and web ordering, employee readiness and consumer confidence and behavior will be covered. Participants will learn approaches to pivot their business quickly so they are ready for start-up of their operations when Buffalo is approved to re-open.
The four training sessions include the following:
S – Sanitation/Safety – Health Standards, Requirements, and Food Safety
T – Technology – Online capabilities, Credit Card Processing, Web Ordering, Web Design, and Social Media
E – Engineering/Employees – New and Additional functions for current employees, retraining, menu and costing, dining room layout changes.
M – Management – Consumer Confidence/Behavior, Delivery Services (inhouse or outsourcing)
Dates: Mondays, June 15th, 22nd, 29th, and July 8th
Time: 8:30 a.m. (Networking) Program 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Location: Will be virtual; venue to be announced.
