Part of the mission of Buffalo State University is to inspire a lifelong passion for learning. In the Continuing Professional Studies Office, we know the many demands that face today’s workforce, as well as adult and young adult learners.
This lies at the heart of each educational experience we provide; we meet our learners where they are, to create a path toward achievement by providing flexible and creative options to fuel that passion for learning across one’s lifetime.
The Continuing Professional Studies Office draws on the experience and expertise of faculty, staff and industry to inform and provide experiences that foster growth within today’s ever-changing workplace. We utilize the vast and rich educational resources cultivated by Buffalo State to meet the overarching needs of industries, employers, and individuals looking to move ahead within their careers.
The Continuing Professional Studies office is led by Kristin Fields, who is a 2002 graduate of the Creativity and Change Leadership program at Buffalo State. Kristin brings over 20 years of experience working in both the private and public sectors. She has served in a variety of roles, having designed and delivered engaging experiences as a trainer, conducted groups through creative and critical thinking as a facilitator, fostered interdependence as a manager and provided vision and strategy as a leader.
